As a belated Fourth of July gift, Grateful Dead HQ has continued its All The Years Live video series with a July 4, 1989 edition of “Man Smart, Woman Smarter.”
Explains GD legacy manager/archivist David Lemieux, “This calypso cover first appeared in the Dead’s setlists in 1981, and settled into a second-set pre-Drums slot, played occasionally and always getting the crowd dancing. Sometimes, when they were in the mood, Brent would take a verse, always welcome.”
