Steve Kimock has confirmed that he has assembled a new group for some upcoming dates. In certain respects Kimock will be coming first circle as Billy Goodman will join him on vocals and slide guitar. Kimock first appeared with Goodman in the early 70s, relocating from Pennsylvania to California as a result of the connection. Goodman had resided in Germany for a number of years but is now back in the States and will appear with Steve Kimock & Friends. The roster also includes David Uosikkinen (The Hooters) on drums, Kenny Aaronson (Bob Dylan, Johnny Winter) on bass and Mike Borowski on keys.

Kimock has issued the following statement in anticipation of his return to the live setting:

“Wow! The last thing I was expecting was for the whole world to grind to halt. And the last thing I wanted was to find some “new way” to do a gig. Well, looks like we’ll be able to gather again soon, have community, dance, make a joyful noise, shake hands, maybe hug? A gig??

“Hopefully soon CDC guidance will include “don’t bogart that joint” too, but for now let’s just take a deep breath, count our blessings, and rebuild our world. Feels like starting over, can’t wait, and I’d like to thank everybody in advance for their love and support moving forward.”

Steve Kimock & Friends have confirmed shows at Stanhope Outdoors in Stanhope, NJ on July 10 and Ardmore Music Hall, in Ardmore, PA on August 7.
