In a special version of “Iko Iko,” the organization Playing For Change has brought together one of the final recordings of the late, great Dr. John with a star-studded batch of musicians, from the Grateful Dead’s Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann to NOLA staples Ivan Neville and George Porter Jr.

“Uniting musicians from Central Africa’s Congo to New Orleans’ Congo Square, this video serves to reconnect hearts and minds around the world through music,” reads an official description.

According to a statement, “Playing For Change is a movement created to inspire and connect the world through music, born from the shared belief that music has the power to break down boundaries and overcome distances between people.”
