New Orleans funk veterans Dumpstaphunk have announced a new album Where Do We Go From Here. The record is set to be released on Apr. 23, 2021 via Mascot Label Group/The Funk Garage. The album marks the band’s first full-length album since 2013’s Dirty Word.

The band previously released two singles from the record: “Justice 2020” and the title track “Where Do We Go From Here.

“We hope people can hear the new songs and are inclined to dance, and inspired to think at the same time,” said Ivan Neville on the new album. “Obviously, the New Orleans history is just embedded in us, but we manage to incorporate all the other stuff we’ve listened to over the years. We’re representing a legacy, but we’re reimagining a lot of it, too.”

To celebrate the album’s announcement, the band will be performing cuts from the record on today’s NPR World Café broadcast, as well as an interview with Neville.
