On Saturday, Jan. 9, a number of famous faces honored the fifth anniversary of David Bowie’s passing by performing on the “Just for One Day” livestream.
Included in the proceedings was Nine Inch Nails braintrust Trent Reznor, who not only toured with Bowie in the ’90s, but also helped create the Bowie single “I’m Afraid of Americans,” and remained a creative confidant to the late rockstar through his life.
“In the early ’90s David said to me, ‘Keep an eye on,’ this next singer. ‘He’s something to be reckoned with,'” host/longtime Bowie bandmate Mike Garson told the virtual crowd.

January 11, 2021 at 1:18 pmI watched this entire event. Well organized and enjoyable. Might be biased but Trent’s rendition of ‘Fantastic Voyage’ was the highlight of the show. Until ‘Fashion’ knocked me off my couch, that is … 🙂
