Driftless Music Gardens, a natural amphitheater venue in Hillsboro, Wisc., has announced the ‘Drive-In Tailgate,’ a full weekend of bluegrass set for Memorial Day weekend 2021.

Leftover Salmon will kick off the event on Friday, May 28. The next night, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades will take the stage. Finally, The Infamous Stringdusters will close out the weekend with a show on May 29.

“Life is strange. As artists, we’ve had no choice but to roll with the changes brought on COVID-19. Driftless Music Gardens is adapting to the new normal by getting bands and music fans together in a more intimate setting,” wrote the venue on their website. “As we head into the future, we have the experience needed to throw a safe show and the space to spread out in an absolutely gorgeous natural amphitheater.”

“Our first announcement for 2021 is a full weekend of bluegrass,” continued the note. “These Memorial Day weekend shows will be set up as a drive-in tailgate concert. Each night’s show is sold separately & tickets are on sale now.”

According to the website: “A very limited number of on site private group campsites are available, will be sold in advance and must be accompanied with a ticket for each of the shows. After those sell out, there are near by off-site camping options that people can find listed on DMG’s website. Also new in 2021, kids will be allowed at shows if they are accompanied by an adult.”
