WinterWonderGrass has announced that its 2021 edition at Steamboat Springs has been postponed to 2022. The original dates were Feb. 19-21, 2021. The 2022 edition will take place Feb. 25-27 at the Steamboat Resort in Steamboat Springs, Colo.

“The decision comes amidst the need to take abundant precautionary measures due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” read a press release announcing the postponement. “For 2022, limited WinterWonderGrass pre sale tickets will go on sale this winter, which will include access to an intimate celebration once public gatherings are back in the mainstream.”

“The partnership between WinterWonderGrass and Steamboat Ski Resort has been and will continue to be a benefit to our entire community,” said Rob Perlman, President/COO Steamboat Resort via press release. “While it is disappointing to have to postpone this year’s event; given the circumstances, we are hopeful that WWG fans understand this difficult decision and we can all look forward to 2022 and beyond.”

“The health and wellness of our community will always be the driving force behind any decision we make, and although we all need our musical medicine more than ever, we have received no indication that large gatherings in Colorado will be approved by this February,” said festival founder Scotty Stoughton via release. “We are working in conjunction with our partners at Steamboat Resort and the local community at large to be ready to produce a smaller event if the opportunity to safely gather opens up. By making this call, we can continue to dive into other musical business possibilities that keep the team working, the creativity flowing and the lights on. Don’t worry, we plan to be in Steamboat for a very very long time!”
