The Disco Biscuits are in the midst of their fall driving tour. Over the weekend, the band played a two-night run at The Pavilion at Montage Mountain in Scranton, Pa. (Oct. 23 and Oct. 24) and a Sunday night gig at the Frederick Fairgrounds in Frederick, Md. on Oct. 25.

On Oct. 23, the band kicked off the weekend with a multi-song sequence of “Mulberry’s Dream” > “Catalyst” > “Mulberry’s Dream.” After a cover with “The Safety Dance,” the band moved into the ending of “Highwire,” before finishing up the set with “House Dog Party Favor.”

Set two consisted of just four total songs, kicking off with another sandwich of “Digital Buddha” > “Cyclone” > “Digital Buddha.” After a brief moment between songs, the band then dropped into “M.E.M.P.H.I.S.” before moving into “I-Man.”

For the encore, the band busted out “Rainbow Song,” a track from their debut album Encephalous Crime (1996). The song hadn’t been played since June 2, 2017 at the Ogden Theater in Denver, Colo.

The second night at Montage Mountain began with “Hope,” followed by “Electric Slinky.” The band then delivered a four-song sandwich sequence, bookended by “Reactor” and containing “The Champions” and “I Feel Love.” Set two contained another four-song sandwich, this one beginning (and ending) with Pink Floyd’s “Run Like Hell.” In between, the Biscuits opted for “Running Into The Night” and an unfinished rendition of “Mr. Don.” The band opted for “Home Again” for the encore.

The Sunday night show in Maryland kicked of with “Spy.” The band then transitioned between “Air Song” and “Hot Air Balloon,” before moving into “Abraxas.” “Abraxas” gave way to a return to “Hot Air Balloon” to close the set. Like set one, the second frame contained just four total songs. It was played straight through with no breaks between songs. After a “The Very Moon” opener, the band moved into “Basis For A Day.” The band then transitioned into an unfinished “Anthem” before an inverted rendition of “Little Shimmy In A Conga Line.” Finally, the band returned to “Basis For A Day” to close the set. For the encore, tDB treated fans to “Story of the World.”
