moe. test-driving “West LA Fadeaway” on Aug. 1

After debuting it during an August livestream, moe. offered their first-ever concert performance of the Grateful Dead’s “West LA Fadeaway” on Sunday night at South Farms in Connecticut.

The GD classic arrived as the band’s encore, following two full sets of moe. favorites, including an opening “Nebraska” followed by This Is Not, We Are cut “Dangerous Game.”

moe. was particularly hot in the second half, offering a mid-set “Rise”> “Brent Black”> “St. Augustine” segment that reared its head once more in a set-closing “New Hope for the New Year”> “Brent Black Reprise” jam.
