After a two-week online celebration in May, the second installment of ‘Reverend Gary Davis: In Search of the Harlem Street Singer’ will take place from July 14-19.
The event will honor the late blues and gospel artist Rev. Gary Davis, who taught such students as Bob Weir and influenced many artists. The Rolling Stones, the Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan and many more have covered his songs.
During the stretch of online performances, the likes of Jim James, Chris Thile and more will pay tribute to Davis daily at 4 p.m. ET at YouTube.com/GuitarFestival.
