Lollapalooza is the latest music festival to scrap their summer 2020 plans in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We wish we could bring Lollapalooza to Grant Park again this year, but we understand why things can’t move forward as planned,” the longstanding Chicago event posted on Tuesday via social media. “The health and safety of our fans, artists, partners, staff and community is always our highest priority.”

And while an official lineup had yet to be announced, organizers have asked music fans to “keep July 30 – August 2, 2020 on your calnedars as we honor our annual tradition by bringing Chcago, and the world, together around our common bond of community, civic engagement and, of course, live music.”

The four-day livestream will encompass “performances from around the city and beyond” as well as archival performances and never-before-seen footage.
