On June 19 and 20, a number of noteworthy pieces of music memorabilia will be auctioned off through Julien’s Auctions. Phil Lesh’s stage-played Modulus bass, used circa 1990, is one of the items.
In addition to Lesh’s bass, the auction also includes some of his Grateful Dead speaker cabinets and road cases, as well as a midi keyboard and some clothes. Alongside Lesh’s items will be Paul McCartney’s handwritten lyrics for “Maxwell’s Silver Hammer”, Prince’s custom-made 1984 Blue Cloud guitar, a black coat worn by Johnny Cash, handwritten Steely Dan sheet music and Jim Morrison’s Paris journal.
