Today, May 26, 2020, marks Levon Helm’s 80th birthday. A series of celebrations of the late drummer/vocalist were scheduled for this spring; however, they have been nixed due to COVID-19.
In the wake of these cancellations, Levon Helm Studios has scheduled a free, one-time webcast of the Levon Helm Band’s ‘Ramble At The Ryman’ performance. The studio is also calling for support in the form of donations; fans can donate here.
The webcast goes live this evening at 8 p.m. ET. For more information and to tune in, click here.

May 26, 2020 at 6:36 pmThe messiah is (((Phil Lesh))). They plan whole festivals around him! They think that a band from 2001/02 is worth golden shekels . Levon was just lucky to be in the room when Robbie wrote songs.

May 27, 2020 at 9:10 pmReally- I saw Kevin, Garth, and Rick with Jim Weider playing guitar, and a piano player. Don’t think Robbie could deliver the music without the rest of the group including Richard. Think you under value what the other 4 contributed to the music.
new messiah?
May 26, 2020 at 6:04 pmDon’t let the picture fool you, he WAS just a drummer/singer (at least Phil Collins wrote music). What’s with all the excessive adoration of this guy?? What’s next, a statue like he’s a confederate general???
