As concerts and tours continue to be cancelled, the Love From Philly virtual music festival has been announced. Beginning on May 1, artists such as Kurt Vile, G. Love, Man Man, Marc Brownstein of the Disco Biscuits and other local Philadelphia artists will take the symbolic stage. All proceeds gathered from the three-day event will go toward benefitting the out-of-work entertainers who have applied for grants from the event. Local artists can file for some of the proceeds using the following form: https://30amp.org/grant-application

The festival will run for three days. Each day is dedicated to highlighting a specific attribute of the Philadelphia music scene. May 1 will be a celebration of working-class musicians—music teachers, session musicians, performers, etc.—or “Busking on Broad,” as it was so-titled. May 2 will focus on jazz and its rich history within the city. Lastly, May 3 will showcase the wide variety of musical tastes and styles of Philadelphia.

While artists are still being confirmed for the event, many have already accepted. For more information on the artists being streamed or how to tune in, click here: https://lovefromphilly.live
