Real Estate have announced that “all previously scheduled April and May tour dates are now postponed” due to coronavirus concerns. (Quote via press release.) “Some shows are in the process of being rescheduled, while others will have to be cancelled for the time being,” read a press release.

“Fans should continue to check realestatetheband.com for updates as the situation is constantly evolving,” concluded the release.

Real Estate themselves released a statement on Instagram regarding the postponed shows.

“As you might have expected, we’re going to have to postpone all of our previously scheduled tour dates from April and May,” the band wrote. “As literally every other band in the world is scrambling to do this right now – rescheduling every single show is going to be difficult, and we’ll have to cancel some shows for the time being. If your show is canceled, you will be refunded at point of sale, and we’ll be working hard to get back to your city as soon as we can.”

“Obviously this is a huge bummer,” the statement continued. “We were so looking forward to seeing and sharing our music with you all – but we’ve got to look after one another in these difficult times and clearly this has to be done. Let’s all stay safe and healthy and prepared to rock in the future.”

The band also hinted at some sort of upcoming release: “We’ll be sharing something soon that will hopefully provide some relief and some joy during these turbulent times.”
