WinterWonderGrass California has announced that it is postponing its 2020 event. The festival has already announced dates for a 2021 edition, promising the same lineup of “Billy Strings, The Devil Makes Three, The Infamous Stringdusters, Keller and the Keels, Peter Rowan, Lindsay Lou, Fruition and more.” Tickets to 2020’s edition will be honored at the newly scheduled 2021 event.
In a lengthy statement, festival founder Scott Stoughton gave some information regarding the rescheduling:
Important details:
- At this point, all 2020 Tahoe festival tickets including 3-day GA, VIP and single-day tickets will roll over to April 9-11, 2021.
- Grass After Dark tickets will be refunded.
- Tram to Table dinner tickets will be refunded.
- Ski Passes – Great news, if you purchased lift tickets as part of the event package, Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows will let you keep your 2020 tickets good for 3 days of skiing over the original weekend, March 27-29, 2020, and give you a 2021 3-day pass valid for the rescheduled April 2021 festival dates. March 13, 2020 at 2:08 pmI think the WWG folks have built up plenty of equity with the music community that you shouldn’t be freaking out. If this was a first year event, yes, I’d be a little nervous…..but they’ve been doing this for damn near a decade now. You have 2021 and 2022 to redeem your ticket at future events. If you are going to miss the $300 that bad, you probably shouldn’t be going in the first place.
