The Capitol Theatre has officially moved Phil Lesh’s 80th birthday run to this summer amid public health concerns about COVID-19, better known as coronavirus.
The run was originally scheduled for March 13, 14 and 15, and the venue built anticipation by saying that each show’s Phil Lesh & Friends lineup would only be revealed the when the curtain rises.
“We are currently formulating our plan for the next steps for ticket holders, but we felt it was important to get this message out as soon as possible,” reads The Cap’s official statement.

March 12, 2020 at 10:33 amOh we won’t get to see guests like Barry Sless or Jen Hartswick. Phil jumped the shark when he dumped real musicians for the Family Bar Band. Anything for the shekels.

March 12, 2020 at 12:32 pmhat a dumb remark. Phil wants to play music with his son. Nothing wrong with that. BTW, Phil and Jill are two of the most generous people I know. I know it from personal experience and from things they’ve done that haven’t received any publicity (like providing 1000 meals for victims of and first responders to the fires in Santa Rosa and vicinity two years ago). I guess haters are going to hate…
