Joe Russo’s Almost Dead is the latest band to reschedule performances in the wake of coronavirus’ spread through the U.S.

The band has moved their gigs in Grand Rapids, Mich. (originally scheduled for March 12), Madison, Wisc. (originally scheduled for March 13) and St. Louis, Mo. (originally schedule for March 14-15) to the first weekend in September, telling fans, “we all decided that it would be irresponsible for us to encourage large gatherings in light of the recent COVID-19 situation.”

Over the last few days, we as an organization continually went back and forth over how to best handle this current global health scare. In the end, we all decided that it would be irresponsible for us to encourage large gatherings in light of the recent COVID-19 situation. Taking the lead from schools, universities, city events and from other touring artists in the US and across the globe, we decided to postpone our shows in Grand Rapids, Madison and St. Louis this weekend.

We apologize for any inconvenience this causes to any of you who made plans to see us during this run. Please know that your safety is of our utmost concern and we truly believe that postponing these shows is in the interest of our direct community and the community at large.

The shows in question will be rescheduled as follows:

Thursday, September 3, 2020: 20 Monroe Live ~ Grand Rapids, MI
Friday, September 4, 2020: The Sylvee ~ Madison, WI
Saturday, September 5, 2020: The Pageant ~ St. Louis, MO
Sunday, September 6, 2020: The Pageant ~ St. Louis, MO

All tickets will be honored for the rescheduled dates or can be refunded at the point of purchase.

It breaks our hearts to do this, but in the end, we all agreed that performing this weekend felt like we were putting our fans, venue staff, JRAD crew and band at risk unnecessarily.

Be safe out there and take care of each other.

With love, gratitude, and care,

JRAD
