After the wildly successful Us + Them tour, Roger Waters will present a completely new stage show this summer, dubbed This Is Not A Drill.
Waters will be in the center of the action for the This Is Not A Drill tour, with the bassist performing in the round in arenas across North America, including Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center (July 10), Boston’s TD Garden (July 28), New York’s Madison Square Garden (Aug. 5), Chicago’s United Center (Aug. 27) and a closing show at Dallas’ American Airlines Arena (Oct. 3).
In a 2019 interview with Rolling Stone, Waters teased the outing as a “no-holds-barred” event, adding, “It will be even more political than Us + Them was — political and humane… We were talking about, what should we call it? I shouldn’t be giving this away, but I don’t give a shit because it will probably all change, but imagine the iconic helicopter that normally comes before “Happiest Days” and “Brick 2” — that noise that we all know and love — and imagine a megaphone… “This is not a drill.” I thought that could be a good title for the show: This Is Not a Drill. The ruling class is killing us.”
Tickets for Roger Waters’ This Is Not A Drill will go on sale Friday, Jan. 31.

February 27, 2020 at 3:20 pmI love Floyd, and would love an evening out with my wife listening to good music. What I don’t want is to pay for an over-priced seat to be preached at about politics. Maybe I’ll sit this one out.

February 11, 2020 at 12:42 pmI agree with many posters here. Grew up with Pink Floyd, and loved their music. But Waters is a mega anti-Semite and for that reason alone I refuse to have anything to do with any of his current activities. He preaches love and inclusion while hating on the Jews. Very sad. Perhaps he could become a resident in the waters memorial home for incurable anti-semites.

February 6, 2020 at 1:25 pmSo why does Roger hate Jewish folks so much? That should be discussed…..

January 24, 2020 at 1:02 pmMaybe not however Roger is a raging anti semite and an insipid musician living off of his past… hasn’t written anything remotely interesting since Radio Kaos.

January 23, 2020 at 1:02 pmBeing that Roger has been exposed for his anti-Semitic hate, I think I will pass…. No thanks! Love the REAL Pink Floyd though….

January 23, 2020 at 1:02 pmNo he’s not. The ruling class decides how wealth is or is not distributed. The rich are part of the slave system as much as the poor, they just have MUCH comfier prison cells.

January 23, 2020 at 11:02 amMy fondest memory of Gilmour live in ’84 (SPAC) was watching him try and suppress the palpable contempt he had for his audience.
