Pigeons Playing Ping Pong have released a new single, entitled “Dawn A New Day,” on the heels of their announcement that a new studio album will arrive in 2020.
The band also debuted a lyric video to accompany the song. “Dawn A New Day” also marks the beginning of a partnership between Pigeons and Backline, a new mental health organization dedicated to raising awareness and providing resources to music professionals.
Backline and the band are currently running a fundraiser to accompany the single’s release, to which you can donate here.
“Our new single ‘Dawn A New Day’ is all about looking on the sunny side of life,” said Pigeons singer/guitarist Greg Ormont, via press release. “We’ve been fortunate to be able to spread that message of positivity to The Flock for years now, and we’re always looking for even more ways to give back.”
“Dawn A New Day” is the second single from Pigeons’ upcoming record; the first, “King Kong,” was released on October 18, along with a music video directed by Jay Blakesberg. The band is in the midst of a sprawling fall tour, which will bring them everywhere from Denver to Miami.
