Pinegrove have announced that they will release their new studio album, Marigold, Jan. 17, marking the New Jersey-bred indie outfit’s debut LP on Rough Trade Records and following up their 2018 effort, Skylight.
The group—led by singer-songwriter Evan Stephens Hall—have also released a video for album track “Phase,” which follows the previously released lead single, “Moment.”
“The song ‘Phase’ is more or less about insomnia,” Hall explains in a press release, “trying to sleep but things racing in your mind, looking around your room, looking at things from the perspective of your bed, seeing all the things you could do or should be doing, enumerating tasks, making lists in your head, moving through anxieties & eventually, hopefully, into sleep.”
Check out the video for “Phase” below and pre-order Marigold here. Pinegrove’s full tour schedule, which just expanded to include 2020 western U.S. and European dates, here.
