Tedeschi Trucks Band continued their Wheels of Soul tour featuring Blackberry Smoke and Shovels & Rope this past weekend with a two-night run at Colorado’s famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and the band ended up welcoming members of both supporting acts throughout the performances.

First up on Friday evening, TTB delivered a show that featured some of their staple live tunes like opener “Signs, High Times,” “Don’t Know What It Means,” The Box Tops’ “The Letter” and “Midnight in Harlem,” before returning for the encore, which included a collaboration with Blackberry Smoke on the finale cover of Joe Cocker’s classic “Space Captain.”

Saturday night opened up with further collaboration, as Tedeschi Trucks were joined by Blackberry Smoke guitarist Charlie Starr for the first song of the show, a cover of The Band’s “Don’t Do It,” the first time TTB had played the tune since New Year’s Eve 2011. Later in the performance, the host band welcomed out Shovels & Rope for a cover of Bob Dylan’s “Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right.” For Saturday’s encore, Tedeschi Trucks, Blackberry Smoke and Shovels & Rope all came together for TTB’s medley of Sly and the Family Stone’s songs “Sing a Simple Song” and “I Want to Take You Higher.”
