Little Feat closed out their 50th anniversary tour to Denver’s Paramount Theatre on Friday evening, and the band took the opportunity to nod to Dr. John, the late New Orleans legend who passed away the previous day, with a NOLA staple at the end of their set.
After a show that featured Feat classics like “Fat Man in the Bathtub,” “Spanish Moon,” “Willin’,” “Oh Atlanta” and The Band’s “The Weight,” the group—which features longtime Feat members Bill Payne, Fred Tackett and Paul Barrere—closed out the set with crowd-favorite “Dixie Chicken,” which featured an interpolation of “Iko Iko,” the New Orleans standard played countless times by Dr. John. The night then rounded out with an encore of “Feats Don’t Fail Me Now.”
Check out the full setlist below, along with fan-shot video from the tribute (which features a guest spot from guitarist Shawn Eckels of Andy Frasco & The U.N.).

June 11, 2019 at 8:29 amHow can you forget to mention Sam Clayton and Kenny Gradney, members since 1972??? Rhythm section gets zero respect – No Justice, No Peace!!!! And why aren’t these guys in the R’n’R Hall of Fame – the 70s band was one of a kind hot and they created lots of great new music after reuniting. Still nice to be able to see them in clubs and theaters.
