This past weekend, Railroad Earth played a three-show run in the Northeast that featured a couple of special guests in pianist Holly Bowling and Brooklyn-based multi-instrumentalist Mike Robinson, and today Bowling shared video of one of the weekend highlights, a collaborative instrumental cover of the Grateful Dead’s “Brokedown Palace” from The Capitol Theatre on Saturday night.

Throughout the three performances, Bowling and Robinson sat in for the full shows, with Robinson adding banjo, guitar and pedal steel. On Saturday at The Cap, Railroad Earth’s Tim Carbone returned the favor by joining Holly, along with Robinson, for her opening set and delivering a touching, slow-burn cover of the Grateful Dead ballad.

Watch the video below via Bowling’s Facebook page and see Saturday’s full setlists.
