Tedeschi Trucks Band have confirmed that they will release their new studio album, Signs, on February 15 via Fantasy Records/Concord.

The new record was recorded at Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi’s Swamp Raga home studio in Florida, and the 11 tracks feature guest appearances from longtime collaborators like Warren Haynes, Doyle Bramhall II, The Wood Brothers’ Oliver Wood and percussionist Marc Quiñones, along with production and engineering help from Jim Scott and Swamp Raga’s Bobby Tis.

“This is the first record we’ve made where, when I listen to it, it puts me in a specific place. It puts me in a zone and hits some raw nerves,” Trucks says in a press release, which also notes that the album’s writing and recording was affected by the relatively recent losses of close friends and family like Allman Brothers Band members Gregg Allman and Butch Trucks, along with Leon Russell and Col. Bruce Hampton.

Explaining that there is also hope embedded in the tracks on the album, Tedeschi adds, “We are very lucky to do what we do, and we take responsibility for creating something positive to counter all the negativity. We all have to deal with tragic circumstances at times.  As a musician, I feel it’s my job to go out there, kick ass the best I can and offer inspiration.”

TTB have also shared the first single off of Signs, “Hard Case,” and the band will celebrate the album’s release with a show at New York’s Brooklyn Academy of Music on February 20 as part of their upcoming winter tour dates, which are listed below along with the rest of TTB’s extensive 2019 US schedule so far, plus the new album’s tracklist.
