
Sacred steel guitarist Roosevelt Collier has lined up a series of dates next month, backed by a mix of special guests. From December 6-8, Collier will work his way through California, making stops at
Nevada City’s Crazy Horse (12/6), Chico’s LostonMain and San Francisco’s Boom Boom Room. For the night two nights of his run, Collier’s all-star band will include guitarist Stockholm Syndrome guitarist Eric McFadden, Electric Beethoven bassist Reed Mathis and Pimps of Joytime drummer John Staten. Then, on December 8, Collier will host one of his “Get Down” jam sessions, drawing in McFadden, Staten, Stanton Moore Trio organist Wil Blades and Robert Walter’s 20th Congress/Booker T. Jones bassist Victor Little.
Looking ahead, Collier will also play some shows near the end of the year back home on the East Coast, including Nashville’s The 5 Spot (12/15), Jupiter, FL’s Guanabanas (12/19), Miami, FL’s Wynwod Yard (12/21) and Jacksonville, FL’s BlueJay (12/23).
