Longtime Bay Area collaborators Tea Leaf Green and ALO had some fun over two nights in Colorado, teaming up for a Nov. 2 show in Boulder and a Nov. 3 show in Denver.

In Boulder, following an opening set by Tea Leaf Green, ALO served up a single set with a standout “All Alone”> “Shakedown Street”> “Plastic Bubble” jam. For the encore, things really heated up with Josh Clark and Trevor Garrod of Tea Leaf Green joining ALO for “Wasting Time” and then TLG swapping in the rhythm section of Josh Clark and Trevor Garrod for their original “Garden III.” Both bands then joined together for a take on the Beatles’ “I Got A Feelin’.”

In Denver, ALO frontman Dan Lebowitz sat in with Tea Leaf Green on their last two songs and, later, ALO welcomed Jay Cobb Anderson from Fruition and Megan Letts from Mama Magnolia to play on Fleetwood Mac’s “You Make Loving Fun.”

The Mile-High City’s encore was just as collaborative as the previous Boulder’s. Starting with “Storms and Hurricanes” and “One More Chance” (with TLG’s Garrod and Clark) the evening wrapped up with both ALO and Tea Leaf Green jamming on “Mary Jane’s Last Dance” by the late, great Tom Petty.
