Next month, Memphis, TN will host the inaugural Mempho Festival, and the full lineup for the festival’s tribute to Stax Records and Memphis music has been revealed, with the likes of bassist Oteil Burbridge and Blues Traveler’s John Popper joining the fray.

Also to participate in the tribute, which will honor the contributions of Steve Cropper and Booker T. Jones to the iconic Stax Records, are Dave Mason, Eddie Floyd, Lester Snell, Steve Potts and horn players Victor Sawyer and Jim Spake. The tribute will start with Booker T. Presents: A Stax Revue & Journey Through Soul, Blues and R&B, followed by Steve Cropper & Friends featuring the aforementioned guests.

A late-night jam session will also be hosted by Robert Randolph, Popper and Burbridge, along with Eric Krasno, Steve Kimock, Jeff Sipe, Wally Ingram, Eric McFadden, Leslie Mendelson, Papa Mali, Peter Levin, Lamar Williams Jr and DJ Logic. The Mempho All Stars collective will offer a tribute to late members of the Southern rock community Gregg Allman, Butch Trucks and Col. Bruce Hampton.

Mempho Festival is set for October 6–7 at Memphis’ Shelby Farms Park. The event’s lineup also features Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, Cage the Elephant, Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, Cold War Kids, Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Hard Working Americans and more.
