Last night, Ryan Adams continued his tour around recent solo album Prisoner with a show at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD, with opening act Jenny Lewis, and the two friends shared the stage twice throughout the night, once during each of their respective sets.

Lewis opened up the night, the second of two outings with Adams, with a 10-song set featuring solo tunes and songs from Rilo Kiley and the more recent project Nice As Fuck. Adams, who has been helping Lewis record her new album, came out to lend a hand on “Wasted Youth,” a recently debuted tune that will be one of the new album’s tracks.

For Adams’ headlining set, the singer-songwriter mostly stuck to his usual setlist, playing several Prisoner tracks and older, Cardinals-era favorites like “Let It Ride,” “Magnolia Mountain,” “Sweet Illusions” and “Cold Roses,” plus the first “Dear John” since 2013.. Adams then brought out Lewis for his encore of “Come Pick Me Up” to close out the night.

Next up for Adams is a slot at Atlanta’s Shaky Knees Festival this weekend.
