Ryan Adams has spent the last few months teasing a forthcoming solo album from him and now has his first show on the books with a newly announced December 9 gig in Tokyo.

While venue information is currently unannounced, this marks the first show for Adams since the end of his tour with The Shining earlier this summer.

Adams has also hinted at a potentially new lineup for the band, with guitarist Benny Yurco (of Grace Potter’s band) and drummer Nate Lotz finding themselves at rehearsals at Adams’ Pax-Am Studio. Lotz also played drums on Adams’ cover of Taylor Swift’s 1989.

“New songs and new energy and some new bros,” Adams wrote on Twitter yesterday, including bassist Charlie Stavish, drummer Nate Lotz and Yurco in the photos.
