On Thursday night, Elvis Costello was revealed as the mystery guest for Midnight Preserves, a series put on by New Orleans’ Preservation Hall during Jazz Fest that pairs the Preservation Hall Jazz Band with a mystery guest.

Costello is the biggest name artist to sit in so far in this year’s series, which takes place at the Hall every night at midnight. As Nola.com notes, the Midnight Preserves series is now in its 12th year, with guests paying $100-$1600 to see who will be the mystery guest for the night. Proceeds from the series go to benefit the Preservation Hall Foundation.

Past years’ Midnight Preserves have featured the likes of Robert Plant, Steve Earle and Jimmy Buffett, and this year’s festivities have already included Sharon Jones, Irma Tomas and Henry Butler, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats and more.
