Dawes will open for Bob Dylan this spring. The band has enthusiastically tweeted out, “ Alright…we can finally announce it. We’re opening for Bob Dylan for his next tour.” The run will focus on colleges and unviersities, including a stop at Cornell’s famed Barton Hall. The members of Dawes are no strangers to the extended Dylan family and have already shared the stage with Robbie Robertson, Levon Helm and Garth Hudson.

In other news, a video teaser from the Forecastle Festival hints that the band will play the Louisville, KY-based festival this summer.
