Gov’t Mule performed at Rochester, NY’s Rochester Jazz Festival on Saturday night. During their single-set performance, the group debuted the new song “No Reward” (Gov’t Mule recently spent time working on their first studio album since 2009).

Later in their set, the band welcomed area resident and sacred steel guitar player Chuck Campbell—of The Campbell Brothers—for “John The Revelator” and “That’s What Love Will Make You Do.” Gov’t Mule also teased a number of songs during their set, riffing on ‘“American Woman” and “Black Dog” during “Steppin’ Lightly,” “Linus & Lucy” during “Mule” and no less than “Get Away,” “Jungle Boogie” and “Superstition” during “I’ve Been Working.”

Gov’t Mule will kick off a European tour at Manchester, UK’s
Manchester Bluesfest on July 3.
