Marc Friedman

A new band featuring established musicians debuted at Brooklyn, NY’s Bar 4 Monday night. The improvisational-heavy, space rock group featured Secret Machines drummer Josh Garza, Brooklyn jazz guitarist Mike Gamble and Slip/Surprise Me Mr. Davis bassist Marc Friedman (only a few years ago The Slip’s Brad Barr wrote the band’s Guitar Hero hit “Even Rats” after seeing a Secret Machines show). In related news, this past Saturday Friedman sat in with the Marco Benevento Trio Saturday night at the Bowery Ballroom for he encore of “Mephisto.”
