The Allman Brothers Band and Widespread Panic will be in Chicago this evening for the first of two shows at the Charter One Pavilion. Panic’s John Bell will make the most of his brief area residency, via a trip to Wrigley Park on Wednesday. Tomorrow he will sing the “Star Spangled Banner” prior to the game between the Cubs and the Houston Astros. Perhaps Bell’s rousing rendition will cure the Cubbies’ current lethargy.
