Bill Kreutzmann has confirmed a series of performances with the trio that has now been named BK3. Oteil Burbridge won’t be participating in these shows, which will now feature bassist James ‘Hutch’ Hutchinson (Bonnie Raitt). However, guitarist Scott Murawski (Max Creek, Mike Gordon) will be back for he upcoming dates. Kreutzmann, who is currently touring with The Dead will open the BK3 tour on May 29 at the Port City Music Hall in Portland, ME. Then, in addition to previously-announced appearances at Mountain Jam and the Wanee Music Festival, the trio will appear in New Haven, CT (Toad’s Place, 5/30), Richmond, VA (The National, 6/3), Carrboro, NC (Cat’s Cradle, 6/4) and Charleston, SC (The Music Farm, 6/5). The group also has confirmed gigs at the Oregon County Fair on July 10 and the All Good Music Festival on July 12.
