On Saturday night, for the first time since 1996, Eric Wilson and Bud Gough performed as Sublime. The two were joined by a guitarist/vocalist named Rome for the gig at Cantina Los Hombres in Sparks, Nevada. Gough’s current group, Del Mar opened the night and the band later reported on its MySpace page, ‘So Del Mar played the gig at Cantina last night in Reno, it was packed and amazing. What really fucking killed it was SUBLIME reuniting and playing with new singer, Rome. We’re fucking stoked for Bud, Eric, and Rome- Bud’s still playing with Del Mar, and Sublime doesn’t have any firm tour plans or anything YET, but we’ll keep you posted on their progress.’ Sublime co-founder and animating spirit Bradley Nowell died of a heroin overdose on May 25, 1996.
