Van Morrison has announced that he will perform his classic Astral Weeks album in its entirety next month at the Hollywood Bowl. On November 7 and 8, Morrison will deliver two sets of material. The first will feature his current touring band and draw on music that spans his career. Then, some additional players will step up to interpret Astral Weeks, including guitarist Jay Berliner and bass player Richard Davis, who appeared on the original album. These shows will celebrate the 40th anniversary of Astral Weeks, which Warner Brothers released in November 1968.
