Michigan-based Greensky Bluegrass made a name for itself at the 2006 Telluride Bluegrass Festival, taking top honors in the Band Competition. This past year when the group returned to the festival, it was joined for a tune by the Wayword Sons’ Anders Beck, who donned black angel wings for the occasion. In November the relationship continued as Beck toured with GSBG for a series of gigs. Now, Greensky Bluegrass has confirmed that the dobro player is an official member of the band and Beck will be on hand when Greensky performs on New Year’s Eve at the State Theatre in Kalamazoo, MI.
