Over the past two days the Austin City Limits Festival has lost two of its anticipated acts. Today the White Stripes pulled out of their Saturday headlining slot along with their Stubbs show the following day. This follows Mondays news that Rodrigo Y Gabriela would not appear at the event. Indeed, Rod and Gab have been forced to cancel all of their September dates, explaining, Gabriela is suffering from exhaustion after a hectic summer/fall tour schedule and is left with no choice but to cancel the remaining shows in September. Advice from doctors is to take a few weeks off to relax so she can build up her strength. Gabriela’s high energy performances means that she has to be in top physical health to perform to the levels people expect and that she enjoys. Gabriela will be taking a month off to get back in shape for the October tour.’
