As the second weekend of Jazz Fest rolls on, a number of remarkable performances will take place after the Fairgrounds close. This evening at the Howlin’ Wolf, numerous celebrated Cresent City players will participate in the 5th Annual Bayou Rendezvous. The night will include performances by the New Orleans All Stars, the Rhythm Council, New Orleans Social Club and Papa Grows Funk. The New Orleans All Stars will consist of Johnny Vidacovich, George Porter, Jr., Theresa Andersson, Ivan Neville, Tony Hall and Ben Ellman. The Rhythm Council features Henry Butler, Papa Mali, Kirk Joseph and Robbie Kid. The New Orleans Social Club will be George Porter, Jr., Henry Butler, Ivan Neville, Leo Nocentelli and Raymond Weber. Doors are at 8 and music is expected to continue well past dawn.
