The New Deal will return to the west coast for the first time this year for a series of shows in May. Since scaling down its tour schedule the trio has shied away from the west, but Jamie Shields still sites California as the location of some of its best shows. The trio will appear at Hollywoods Knitting Factory May 16, San Franciscos The Independent May 17 and Pal Springs Joshua Tree Roots Music Festival May 19. Meanwhile, bassist Dan Kurtz also continues to gig with Dragonette.
