Grateful Dead soundman Dan Healy will sit behind the sound console for Dark Star Orchestras performances San Franciscos Fillmore Auditorium from October 5-7. Healy first mixed the Deads sound at the Straight Theater on September 29, 1967 and worked with the group through 1994 (developing the groups infamous Wall of Sound along the way). DSO soundman Cameron Blietz will be at his side absorbing every tweak of a panner and twirl of a knob. In other DSO news, the group will spend New Years Eve in Boulder, CO. The lauded Dead tribute band will appear at Boulders Fox Theater from 12/28 12/31. The group is also profiled by The Phish Book scribe Richard Gehr in the current issue of Relix .
