Particle packed in a busy weekend, performing at Los Angeles, CAs KnitBall Friday and Joshua, CAs Joshua Tree Music Festival Saturday. Friday night, a number of rising talents joined Particle for its encore of Truth Don Die, including percussionist Rajiv Parikh (New Monsoon), keyboardist Luke Miller (Lotus), trumpeter John Harrington (Delta Nove) and trombonist Liz Larson (Aphrodesia). A night later, while performing at the desert festival, Doors guitarist Robby Krieger made his second appearance with Particle this year, accenting a Scott Metzger sung covers of Riders on the Storm and LA Woman. Krieger has joined Particle onstage on a number of occasions, including for the debut of its new lineup in February. Particle will appear next at Ojai, CAs Ojai Global Groove Fest on May 21.
