At present the members of Galactic are on board Jam Cruise traveling to Jamaica. However the band preceded its appearance on the boat with a gig at the Orlando House of Blues. At the Thursday night show Galactic was joined by some additional horn players. The first set closed out with members of the Dirty Dozen Brass Band (Roger Lewis, Kevin Harris, Efrem Towns, Kirk Joseph, Jamie Mclean and Peanut) joining in for It Aint What You Think and Blackbird Special. Then at the end of the second set Galactic introduced Troy ‘Trombone Shorty’ Andrews who was in town with Lenny Kravitz’s band opening for Aerosmith at the TD Waterhouse Centre (aka Orlando Arena). Trombone Shorty contributed to Hot Pants Road as well as the Santa Cruz encore.
As for events on board the boat, David Steinbergs Jam Cruise diary, is currently on line and will be updated with images and additional accounts.
