Earlier today, we reported that Particles Steve Molitz sat in with Umphreys McGee during its performance at Los Angeles El Rey. It now seems that Molitzs cameo was part of a busy weekend for the Particle People. On Sunday, Molitz performed at a Los Angeles Music School Benefit held at Beverley Hills Crustacean Restaurant alongside none other than Macy Gray. The Sinbad hosted event also featured appearances by a number of celebrities including Cameron Diaz, Mischa Barton, and Nicole Richie (please insert your own Simple Life joke here). The keyboardist has also kept been recording and will appear on G. Love’s 2006 release.
Particles Darren Pujalet also gigged out this weekend, playing drums with The Mutaytor at its annual Blizzard of Oz Party. The 25 person ensemble also includes Steve Reid (Supertramp, Rippingtons) and John Avila on Bass (Oingo Boingo), as well as fire performers, parade dragons and other visual components. Particle is currently in Los Angeles auditioning guitarists and will return to the stage in 2006.
