Percussionist Johnny Durkin (Deep Banana Blackout, Vinyl) has confirmed a Wednesday residency, beginning this week at The Acoustic Cafe in Bridgeport CT. Joining Durkin are four musicians that he describes as the most dangerous freelance musicians I know. Taking the stage with him on December 7, 14 and 21 will be Jesse Gibbon (Scheligho), Andy Sanesi (Radio Mundial, Bomb Squad), Rich Zerkowski (Electric Hill) and Durkin’s fellow DBB member Rob Somerville.
In other Durkin news Johnnys sister Jen (Bomb Squad, Deep Banana Blackout) gave birth to a son (her second child) this past weekend. Sean Raphael Durkin reportedly weighed in at 7 pounds.
