Widespread Panic will return to the studio early next year to record its first album since 2002’s Ball. Terry Manning (ZZ Top, George Thorogood, Jim Dickinson) will produce the as-of-yet untitled disc, tentatively scheduled to hit stores before the group embarks on another extensive summer tour next June. While Widespread Panic has not revealed a track listing for its new project, the group will likely record many of the compositions its debuted since returning to the road last spring : “Second Skin,” “Cows Come Home,” “Good People” and “May Your Glass Be Filled.” As previously reported, Widespread Panic will play a Tunes for Tots benefit at Atlanta, GA’s Roxy Theatre on December 29 before closing out the year with a two-night stand at hot ‘lanta’s Philips Arena.
