Though known as the Cheese state, Trey Anastasio decided to sample some tea while at Madison, WIs Orpheum Theatre last night. At the end of his second set, Anastasio invited the nights openers, Tea Leaf Green guitarist Josh Clark and bassist Milky Chambers, onstage for a set closing version of the Beatles Ive Got a Feeling. While Anastasio has performed a number of Beatles songs since forming 70 Volt Parade, including I Am the Walrus and the entire Abbey Road suite, last night was the first time the guitarist performed the Let it Be number. Tonight, Anastasio will perform at Dekalb, ILs NIU Field House.
