Guitarist Scott Metzger boarded the traveling Xingolati this weekend along with DJ Logic, who recently sat in with RANA during its weekly residency at New Yorks Tribeca. Metzger joined DJ Logic for his spin set, and later was part of the DJ Logic and Friends set which also included, among others, John Medeski, G. Love, Willie Waldman and Steve Molitz. On Sunday, Metzger, Logic and Medeski also joined Matt Butler’s rotating Everyone Orchestra which also included Vince Herman, Rob Wasserman, Joe Craven, Jamie Masefield and Jamie Janover.
Tomorrow, Metzger will return to New York for the second week of his Greetings from Metzgerville residency at the Knitting Factory. This week, Metzger will be joined by Justin Wallace (ulu) on bass, Kevin Kendricks (Fat Mama) on vibes and an unannounced drummer. Be sure to look for more Xingolati news later in the day.
